Write A Story With Us

This will be a fun exercise to develop writing and creativity for homeschoolers all across America!

Read the story and then use the form at the end-you get to write the next paragraph!

You can type the story yourself or have an adult help.  However, for your protection, your submission will be reviewed before being attached to the story.

Ben's eyes popped open and he sat straight up in bed.  "Today's the day!" he said to himself as he slid out of the warm covers.  The cold hit him like a splash of water on his face that erased any trace of sleepiness.  His hands groped in the dark to find the pants and shirt he left on the floor last night.  He could go turn on the light since it was still dark, but he was so eager he didn't want to waste a second.

He rushed out of his room and stood by the wood burning stove for a quick warm up.  Someone had already stoked the fire and added wood.  The room was dimly lit with the dancing streaks of light cast off by the fire.  There was just something comforting and peaceful to stand by the stove like that.

After he warmed his hands, he ate a quick breakfast and headed outside.  He paused to take a deep breath of the cold, crisp air.  He enjoyed the freshness, but the cold air caught his breath and made him cough.

Now, YOU add the next paragraph....
